Windows Update
I cannot stress enough the need to keep Windows current with available updates.
These updates are designed to close security flaws as well as improve system
performance and other things. Some viruses that attack Windows can only succeed in
their attack if Windows is not fully up-to-date.

AVG Antivirus
AntiVir Antivirus
PC Tools Antivirus
This is a list of well-known and Free Anti-Virus Software Packages. I personally
use Comodo Internet Security on systems that do not have protection, but any of these will
be better than not using anything. If you have a favorite already, by all means, use it.
